FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions.
Metiox is a UAE-based software development, SaaS engineering, and AI automation agency. Here are the questions we hear most from founders, CTOs, and operators across the Emirates — covering pricing, process, PDPL compliance, hosting, and engagement.
01 — COMPANY
About Metiox.
Who is Metiox?
Metiox is a UAE-based software development, SaaS engineering, and AI automation agency. We design, build, and scale custom digital products for businesses across the Emirates and the wider GCC. Our work spans custom web apps, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, AI agents, workflow automations, and digital growth systems.
Where is Metiox located?
We are based in the UAE and operate primarily from Dubai. Our team works on-site with clients across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, and remotely with select GCC and international partners.
How big is your team?
Metiox is a deliberately focused team of senior engineers, designers, and AI specialists. We stay small so every project is led by experienced builders — not delegated to juniors or handed off to subcontractors.
What industries do you serve?
We work across logistics and supply chain, real estate and proptech, healthcare, fintech and BFSI, retail and e-commerce, hospitality, professional services, and government-adjacent sectors across the UAE.
Do you sign NDAs before discussing our project?
Yes. Every engagement starts with a mutual NDA so we can speak openly about your roadmap, data, and competitive concerns from the very first call.
02 — SERVICES
Services & Capabilities.
What services does Metiox offer?
We offer six core capabilities: AI integration, workflow automation, SaaS development, custom software, digital marketing, and cloud & DevOps engineering. See our services page for the full breakdown and feature lists.
Do you build AI agents and chatbots?
Yes. We build production-grade AI agents and assistants using GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, and open-source LLMs — integrated into your existing CRM, ERP, or custom systems. Read more on our AI integration service.
Can you build a custom SaaS product from scratch?
Absolutely. We design and engineer multi-tenant SaaS platforms end-to-end, including billing, authentication, multi-region infrastructure, admin tooling, and observability.
Do you develop mobile apps?
Yes. We build React Native and native iOS / Android apps, including app store deployment, push notifications, and offline-first sync patterns.
Do you provide Arabic or bilingual interfaces?
Yes. Full right-to-left (RTL) layout engineering, Arabic typography, and bilingual English / Arabic UX are core capabilities — especially for government, healthcare, and consumer-facing products in the UAE.
Can you handle digital marketing as well as development?
Yes. Our digital marketing team runs high-intent local SEO, Google and Meta PPC campaigns, content engines, and conversion-rate optimization for UAE and GCC audiences — all under one roof with engineering.
03 — PRICING
Pricing & Engagement.
How much does custom software development cost in the UAE?
Focused MVPs typically start at AED 25,000 and run to AED 80,000. Mid-range platforms with multiple integrations land between AED 80,000 and AED 250,000. Enterprise-grade systems with complex compliance and scale requirements range from AED 250,000 upwards. We provide a fixed-scope quote after a structured scoping session — no obligation.
Do you offer fixed-price or time-and-materials engagements?
Both. We default to fixed-scope, milestone-based pricing for well-defined projects, and time-and-materials retainers for evolving or exploratory work. We recommend the right model during scoping.
What payment terms do you work with?
Standard engagements split into milestone-based payments: a deposit on kickoff, milestone payments through delivery, and a final payment on launch. Retainer engagements are billed monthly against an agreed scope.
Do you have a minimum project size?
Our minimum engagement is AED 20,000 for a focused, well-scoped build. We do not take on smaller projects because they rarely deliver meaningful business value for either side.
What factors most affect the cost of a project?
The three biggest cost drivers are: (1) the number and complexity of third-party integrations, (2) the depth of UI / UX design required, and (3) regulatory or compliance requirements (PDPL, sectoral licensing, etc.).
Are there hidden costs I should know about?
No. Our quotes are itemised and include everything we scope — design, development, QA, deployment, and a defined handover period. The only common additional costs are third-party services (cloud hosting, paid APIs, SMS gateways) which we pass through at cost with full transparency.
04 — PROCESS
Process & Timeline.
How long does a typical project take from kickoff to launch?
A focused MVP is usually 6–10 weeks. A mid-range platform with core features takes 3–5 months. Enterprise-grade systems with complex integrations and compliance work typically run 5–9 months.
What does your development process look like?
We run two-week sprints with weekly demos, shared project boards, and proactive communication. Each sprint ends with working software you can review, test, and give feedback on.
Can requirements change mid-project?
Yes — and we expect them to. We manage scope changes through a structured change-request process that documents impact on timeline and budget, which you approve before any change is implemented.
What happens after the project launches?
We offer retainer-based maintenance and feature development to keep your software secure, performant, and competitive. Most clients continue working with us on a monthly retainer after launch.
Can you take over an existing codebase?
Yes. We start every takeover with a structured technical audit — we will give you an honest assessment of what to refactor, what to rebuild, and what to leave alone, before any commitment.
05 — TECHNOLOGY
Technology & Hosting.
What technology stacks do you use?
We default to modern, well-supported stacks: Next.js and React for frontend, Node.js and Python for backend services, PostgreSQL and Redis for data, and AWS, Azure, or Vercel for hosting. We pick the right tool for each project rather than forcing a single stack.
Can you host our data inside the UAE?
Yes. We deploy to AWS Middle East (Bahrain) or Azure UAE North for clients with data residency requirements — including government, healthcare, and financial services sectors. We can also configure customer-managed encryption keys and private tenancy.
How do you handle security?
We implement role-based access control, end-to-end encryption in transit and at rest, audit logging, secret management, and dependency vulnerability scanning as standard. We can also align implementations with ISO 27001 controls for enterprise clients.
Can you integrate with our existing CRM or ERP?
Yes. We routinely integrate with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, and most custom internal systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and database syncs.
Do you build APIs for our partners to consume?
Yes. We design and document production-grade REST and GraphQL APIs with versioning, authentication, rate limiting, and developer documentation — so your partners can integrate reliably.
06 — COMPLIANCE
UAE Compliance & Legal.
Are your solutions PDPL-compliant?
Yes. We design every system around the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) — including consent management, data subject rights, breach notification, and lawful basis for processing. PDPL alignment is baked into our default architecture, not added as an afterthought.
Do you support UAE data residency requirements?
Yes. We deploy to UAE-based cloud regions (AWS ME-South, Azure UAE North) so regulated data never leaves the Emirates. We can also configure private tenancy and customer-managed encryption keys for sensitive workloads.
Who owns the intellectual property of the software you build?
You do. Upon final payment, all IP — code, designs, documentation, and infrastructure configurations — is assigned to your company. We retain no rights to your product and no claim to future revenue.
What kind of contracts do you offer?
We work with simple statements of work for fixed-scope projects, and master service agreements (MSAs) for ongoing retainers. Both can be reviewed by your legal team and adjusted to your procurement requirements.
Do you offer service-level agreements (SLAs)?
Yes. For production systems we support tiered SLAs covering uptime, incident response time, and security patching cadence. SLAs are scoped per engagement based on your operational requirements.
